• Unerstanding Member Status in Solaris/Starfleet RP: Active, LOA and Inactive

On Solaris we offer Star Trek Starfleet Roleplay , members may be categorised into one of three primary statuses: Active, Leave of Absence (LOA), or Inactive. Each status carries specific expectations, limitations, and privileges. These classifications help maintain the structure, fairness, and operational continuity of those that roleplay on USS Gallant or Solaris Starfleet on the ground level , while accommodating the varying availability and needs of its members.

Active Status

A member designated as Active is considered fully engaged in both in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC) operations within our Roleplay group. Active status signifies that the member is available and participating in USS Gallant, Starfleet/Solaris-related activities.

Expectations of Active Members:

• Regular participation in USS GALLANT-sanctioned roleplay missions, simulations, and events.

• Fulfillment of assigned duties and responsibilities appropriate to their post

• Timely communication with command staff and responsiveness to official correspondence.

• Ongoing willingness contribution to reports, training, planning, or other organisational activities 

Privileges of Active Members:

• Eligible for Promotion: Based XP points ( only given to active members) merit, time-in-grade, and performance.

• Eligible for Awards: Both IC and OOC recognitions may be granted for outstanding contributions.

• Eligible for Leadership or Specialized Assignments: As determined by command needs and qualifications

Leave of Absence (LOA) Status

A member placed on Leave of Absence (LOA) is formally excused from all  USS GALLANT/SOLARIS  duties and responsibilities for a period of 30 days up to 1 year. LOA may be requested for personal, medical, academic, professional, or other valid reasons lasting longer than 14 days. By filling out this form

Key Guidelines for Members on LOA:

• Members on LOA are not permitted to engage in any SOLARIS activities, including:

• In-character roleplay, missions, or communications(discord) * this is frown apon.
  Out-of-character tasks such as administrative work, planning,meetings or events.

• LOA is intended as a complete disconnection from Gallant/Solaris commitment, offering members time to focus on real-life priorities.

• Members must notify their commanding officer or  Admiral when they wish to return to Active status.

Limitations of LOA Status Members:

• Not eligible for promotion during the LOA period.

• Not eligible for awards or recognitions while on LOA.

• Time spent on LOA does not count toward time-in-grade with XP promgram for promotion purposes.

• May lose their assigned post, role, or position depending on command discretion

Inactive Status

A  RP member is classified as Inactive when they are no longer participating in Gallant/Solaris  activities and have not formally requested or been granted a Leave of Absence. Inactivity is usually the result of prolonged unresponsiveness, lack of participation, continuing excuses, failure to communicate  with Gallant/Solaris command team. The member may be subject to reassignment from  the USS Gallant  after 12 weeks, and removal from membership after 3 months as Inactive on the USS Gallant .

Characteristics of Inactive Status:

• The member has not participated in roleplay or fulfilled responsibilities for an extended period.

• No formal LOA request has been submitted or approved.

• The member may be subject to reassignment, removal from rosters, or removal from set group membership, depending on the duration and circumstances of inactivity

Limitations of Inactive Members:

• Not eligible for promotion under any circumstances while inactive.

• Not eligible for awards or recognitions.

• May lose their assigned post, role, or position depending on command discretion

Reactivation Process

• An inactive member must contact USS Gallant/Solaris Command  to request reactivation.

• Reinstatement to previous roles or assignments is not guaranteed and may be subject to availability and approval
